Female footballers are set to
feature in Fifa’s official video game
for the first time.
Developers today announced that
women will star in the next
version of the multi-million-selling
Fifa video game franchise.
England women are among the 12
international teams set to appear
in Fifa 16, to be released in
September.

Canada earlier this week for the
Women’s World Cup, set to start in
Canada next week.
It is a contrast from under-fire Fifa
president Sepp Blatter’s
controversial 2004 suggestion that
female players could wear tighter
shorts to promote the game.
